Vector Fields Ltd of Oxford, leading software house recently upgraded its electromagnetic simulation software package ELEKTRA to use edge variable finite element methods from earlier nodal finite element formulation slashing convergence time from nineteen days to one on some very complex simulations for Sherbrooke Consultants on the US Naval Mines Detection project.

Vector Fields Ltd of Oxford and University of Southampton have been awarded a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project to develop parameterisation and optimisation software. KTP is the new name for the Teaching Company Scheme, in which Vector Fields and Southampton have previously worked together.

Vector Fields Ltd, the Oxford based specialist in software for the simulation of electromagnetic fields has signed an agreement to market the CLASP software developed by Abingdon based Culham Electromagnetics and Lightning Ltd.

As Vector Fields Ltd, of Oxford (UK), expands, Alex Michaelides takes on the wider responsibilities of Applications Manager, following a number of years in customer support, where he specialised in electromagnetics and the development of application oriented software.
