CARMEN is a specialist finite element analysis module for time varying electromagnetic fields including the effects of rotation.

The rotating part of the model is allowed to move by small increments, and the new electromagnetic field computed at each step. Field solutions of the machine can be viewed at different angles, as specified by the user.

The magnetic materials properties for CARMEN may be specified as linear or non-linear, including anisotropy.
